Privacy policy

Pulsofy monitors industrial machines for small manufacturing shops. Most of what we hold is about equipment, not people. This page says plainly what we collect, why we collect it, who else processes it, how long we keep it, and how to get a copy or have it deleted.
Who we are
Pulsofy is a machine-monitoring service operated by L&J LLC of Livonia, Michigan, United States. For anything on this page, including a request to see or delete your data, write to hello@pulsofy.com and a person will answer.
What we collect and why

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and there is no third-party analytics on this site. The only cookie we set is the one that keeps you signed in. We do not sell your data to anyone, ever, and we never show one customer's data to another.
Signing in with Google
You can choose to sign in with a Google account instead of a password. If you do, Google tells us three things: your name, your email address, and your profile picture. That is the entire extent of the Google account information we receive, and we do not ask for access to your Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Contacts or any other Google service.
We use that information for one purpose only: to create your Pulsofy account, recognise you when you come back, and send you the alerts and notices described on this page. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell or transfer it, and we do not use it to train any machine-learning model.
Pulsofy's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You can disconnect Pulsofy from your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Doing that stops the Google sign-in; to delete your Pulsofy account and the data in it, write to us.
Sensors do not watch people
A Pulsofy sensor measures vibration, temperature and electrical current on a machine. It has no microphone, no camera and no location tracking. It cannot identify who is operating a machine, and it records nothing about the people near it. Utilization figures describe equipment, not individuals, and we ask that you do not use them to monitor a named person.
Who processes it for us
We use a small number of established providers to run the service. Each one only receives what it needs to do its job, and none of them may use your data for their own purposes.

Where it is held
Your data is stored in the United States. If you use Pulsofy from outside the United States, you are asking us to process your data there.
How long we keep it
- Raw sensor readings: 45 days, then condensed into hourly figures.
- Hourly summaries: kept while you are a customer, so your history and value reports survive.
- Run, idle and off records: 120 days.
- Vibration recordings captured behind an alert: 14 days.
- Text messages: 180 days.
- Account, machines, alerts, work orders and resolutions: until you ask us to delete them.
If you stop being a customer, your data stays readable for 90 days so you can take a copy, and we delete it on request after that.
Your choices
- See it. Ask and we will send you everything we hold about your shop.
- Correct it. Most of it you can edit yourself in the app; write to us for the rest.
- Delete it. Ask and we will delete your account and its data within 30 days, except anything we must keep for tax or legal reasons.
- Stop the messages. Alert recipients are yours to change under Settings. Reply STOP to any text to end texts to that number.
Depending on where you live you may have further rights, including under the California Consumer Privacy Act. We apply the choices above to everyone, whatever their address.
Security
All traffic travels over encrypted connections. Each shop's data is separated at the database level, so one customer cannot read another's even if they try. Sensors authenticate with their own credentials, which we store only as a one-way hash and which you can revoke instantly by removing the sensor in the app. Passwords are hashed and are never visible to us.
Children
Pulsofy is a tool for businesses. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this page
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will email the address on your account before it takes effect, and update the date at the top.
